Lofland - Meryl Oliver Fruits

Meryl F. Lofland, 88, of 607 E. Market St., died Wednesday in Culver Hospital. Mrs. LofIand was a member of First Christian Church and a 50-year member of Eastern Star. Born June 7, 1888, in Grant County, she was a daughter of Jesse and Sarah Nelson Oliver. She married William Earl Fruits on Aug. 12, 1911. After his death, she married John L. Lofland on June 7, 1958. He preceded her in death. Surviving are four stepsons, John, Luther, Robert and James Lofland, and a step-daughter, Nora McKinney. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. John Glosser officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. There will be an Eastern Star service at 6:45 this evening. - jlr
